Kinabalu War Memorial, Kundasang

TESSY: We have a great fun at the..., at the..., Kinabalu War Memorial, Kundasang. You can learn a lot about the war long long time ago and..., and..., how the Australian soldiers were helping us against the Japanese last time. We have photographs for you...,for you..., to see.

CARMEN: This is a place you can visit on the way to Mesilau National Park or if you staying at the Perkasa Hotel Mt. Kinabalu. It is just a few minutes drive from the hotel.

TESSY: The place is..., is..., scary and..., and..., Carmen is scared too.

CARMEN: I know Tessy. Its very scary you know? Do you know why its scary? Because a lot of Australian soldiers die there during World War II. The Memorial is to remember them.

TESSY: Are they buried there? Is it..., is it..., Carmen?

CARMEN: Maybe or maybe not. I dunno. But the place is still eerie.

TESSY: The garden's great but I..., I..., thought that the garden can be more..., can be more..., beautiful if it is..., it is..., looked after more properly.

CARMEN: It is a shame, right Tessy? They should make the place cleaner and someone should decorate the place with more flowers and maybe, trees?

TESSY: Yes Carmen. I like the place the most be..., be..., because the place is cool and I..., I..., can see Mt. Kinabalu from there. And..., and..., you learn a bit about..., about..., the war also.
