Dining at the Spice Island at Sutera Harbour's Marina, Golf & Country Club
CARMEN: Last weekend, we went to the Marina, Golf & Country Club, Sutera Harbour Resort, to celebrate our grandfather's (we call him "Kung Kung") Birthday. We actually dine at the Spice Island, a luxury restaurant on Level 3 of the Club.
TESSY: Yeah..., it was great because..., because..., you can pamper yourself to a nostalgic yesteryear ambience and savour the aromatic cuisine at the exclusive restaurant rated as certainly one of the best fine dining Malay restaurants in the country, if not the best.
CARMEN: Tesssss, did you copied that from the restaurant's brochure?
TESSY: Oppps. Was it so obvious?
CARMEN: Tesssss..., never mind.
TESSY: Most of the food are..., are..., very spicy.
CARMEN: Of course. That is why it is called the Spice Island, Tess. Mostly Malay and Indian cuisine. Hot and spicy...
TESSY: But where's the island, Carrrr?
CARMEN: Tessy! Don't try to be funny, ok? Anyway, Tess and I had to order the Kids' meal. Just Fish and Chips, but not the same as in other western restaurant though.
TESSY: It was yummier, but I also like the..., like the..., Tandoori Fish. That was not hot.
CARMEN: I like the appertizer, which was complimentary, you know? These were like crackers, local ones I think, maybe made from maize or corn or something, but it came tucked inside a small basket on a miniture oldies tricycle.

CARMEN: Tess, you like every type of food, except green vegies and spicy food.
TESSY: I just like to eat.......
CARMEN: Enough Tess! Oh..., I must mention that all the dishes were very beautifully decorated. The chef must be pretty good.
TESSY: According to one of the waitresses, the chef..., the chef..., won awards before.
CARMEN: No wonder. And we were also entertained on our table by the Club's entertainers and they sang Happy Birthday to Kung Kung too. The music was so nice.
TESSY: The lady singer, who was from..., from..., the Philippines, said that..., said that..., in Tagalog, Kung Kung is also Grandfather. I think Kung Kung felt like..., felt like..., he was young again when he..., when he..., heard those old old songs. Elvis Presley's songs, maybe?
CARMEN: Tessy! Lets get back to the restaurant thingy?
CARMEN: No wonder. And we were also entertained on our table by the Club's entertainers and they sang Happy Birthday to Kung Kung too. The music was so nice.

TESSY: Okayyyy Carmen. What do you like best about..., about..., Spice Island?
CARMEN: I think I like the restaurant's decoration the most. I like the design. And they even have the Malay gongs displayed too, and we both took turns to play them.
TESSY: That was cool.
CARMEN: All the waitresses and waiters were also very friendly, and we had a grand night out dining and celebrating Kung Kung's birthday. So, if you get the chance, go dine at the Spice Island. We liked it, and I think you will too.
